Class Description
In this class, students will be guided through a series of yoga postures and flows as well as breathing techniques and meditation, appropriate for all levels of experience, including beginners. The class will focus on proper alignment, mindful movement and cultivation of awareness as students are encouraged to listen to their bodies and modify as needed to ensure a comfortable, safe and enjoyable practice.

What to Bring
● A Yoga Mat*
● Water Bottle
● Optional: foam yoga blocks
● Wear comfortable clothes, suitable for movement


Instructor
Sally Drake has been practicing yoga in the Capital District since 2010. She earned a 200-hour training certificate from Styles Yoga in 2023, and is a Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher. In addition to yoga, Sally has been active in the local running community for twenty years and enjoys recreational cycling on area bike trails. She is passionate about yoga and its many benefits to our physical and mental health, and about sharing that passion by teaching fun, welcoming and creative classes in the community.

* A limited quantity of mats are available for loan from the library on a first come, first serve basis.
