Program Description

Event Details

A well-worn baseball cap.  The first concert t-shirt.  A little black dress. Everyone has a favorite piece of clothing.  Maybe you still have it or maybe it's long gone. Either way, the piece evokes memories, meaning and a strong sense of self.  Join us for this in-person, two-part program and write a short sartorial essay about a beloved garment.

To guide the class, we'll be taking a look at the book, Worn Stories, a collection of essays compiled by Emily Spivack and the inspiration for the funny and heartfelt Netflix docuseries of the same name. Everyone registered for the class will get a copy of the book to keep.  Pick up your copy at the Adult Information Desk after January 4.

Please note: this is a two-part class.  Registration is limited, so please plan to attend both sessions.
