Join legendary NY Yankees public relations director, historian, and television producer Marty Appel, author of 25 baseball books, for a celebration of his newest book: Pinstripes By the Tale: Half a Century In and Around Yankees Baseball.

Marty will discuss the book, an incomparable collection of insider tales about the Yankees.  The book is an unparalleled trove of colorful stories featuring a seemingly unending parade of characters including Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra, Thurman Munson, Derek Jeter, George Steinbrenner, and more.

By turns hilarious and heartrending, Pinstripes by the Tale is an intimate look at an iconic franchise through the lens of its foremost historical authority. Told as a series of captivating vignettes, it invites readers to consider the small moments that quietly shape the contours of baseball history. In addition to telling stories and reading from the book, Appel will present a slide show featuring baseball dignitaries he's worked with in his time in the game, from 1968 to the present.  He will also be available to sign copies of the book.
