The New York StateWide Senior Action Council is a nonprofit organization run by seniors to promote their rights and independence. StateWide has local chapters and provides help with Medicare and health insurance benefits, patients’ rights, and Medicare fraud prevention.
About the Speaker: Marcus Harazin, Coordinator Patient Advocates Program, New York StateWide Senior Action Council, has over 45 years in the management of aging and human services programs including serving as a Deputy Director of the NYS Office for the Aging, Commissioner of a Local Social Services District, Director of an Area Agency on Aging. For the past 12 years he has worked for StateWide as the Coordinator of the Patients Advocates Program and the monthly webinar Teach In series.
