Welcoming Native Plants into Your Garden

Martie Teumim will discuss what constitutes a “native” plant, plants that are considered non-native and invasive in New York state, the benefits of using native plants,  how to gradually change your yard to native, and what to plant. You will receive lists of native and invasive plants.

Martie Teumim has been an Albany County Master Gardener for 20 plus years. She is a retired teacher and software trainer. Martie lives in Glenmont with her husband and two cats.
