Love our New York Lands!
In this hands-on program, the Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site will teach kids in grades 3 -5 to identify special beak (or bill) adaptations of birds and how the adaptations help birds eat.
Kids will travel between stations, trying out a variety of tools that mimic bird adaptations while learning about the environment and sustainability.
Note: No real birds will be used in this program.
Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site is part of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.
