The Kids Graphic Novel Club will meet monthly to talk about the book selection, do activities, eat some snacks, and meet other graphic novel lovers!

January book: Be Prepared by Vera Brosgol (2018)

Vera is from Albany, NY, and all she wants to do is fit in. Her friends live in fancy houses and their parents can afford to buy them the latest toys and send them to the best summer camps. Vera’s single mother can’t afford that sort of luxury, but there's one summer camp in her price range―a Russian heritage summer camp in Connecticut.

Vera is sure she's found the one place she can fit in, but camp is far from what she imagined. And nothing could prepare her for all the bunkmate drama, all-night capture the flag games, and outhouses straight out of nightmares!

Participants will receive a free copy of the book to keep and will be notified when it is ready to be picked up at the library.
