Lawns are wonderful spaces to play and eat and talk but they are also ecologically and economically expensive. Perhaps we could do with less of them. If you are wondering what you might do to reduce pollution and restore our ecosystem, shrinking your lawn is one option. This program will present a range of lawn-reduction options from the least intensive to the most dramatic. This presentation will be led by Judith Fetterley. Judith is a Master Gardener with the Albany County Cornell Cooperative Extension. She holds a Certificate in Garden Design from the Cary Institute for Ecosystems Study and is the former owner of Perennial Wisdom, a business focused on designing small perennial gardens. She has been a serious gardener for over 30 years.
