A Few Bumps: An evening with novelist and WAMC radio host Wanda Adams Fischer

We're in the midst of the holiday season. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are things of the past. Just how many more shopping days are there until Christmas, anyway? Think what might happen if your plans were dashed by a major snowstorm and you were stranded with nowhere to go. That's what happens to a young woman from Boston who's saved all her money to attend her best friend's wedding in Hawaii. A blizzard grinds air travel to a halt, and she has no extra cash to pay for anything. A young man from a wealthy family steps in to help her out. At Christmas.

That's the beginning of A Few Bumps, a novel written by Wanda Adams Fischer. You may know Wanda from her more than four decades on WAMC radio as host of "The Hudson River Sampler." She'll read from her novel to get you into the holiday spirit as you meet Amy Moran and Brian Emerson on their Christmas journey. Come share your Christmas stories with the author.
