Drug Take Back Day

GPL and the Guilderland Police Department team up every spring and fall for the nationwide Drug Take-Back Day, a one-day collaborative effort facilitating safe, anonymous disposal of prescribed and non-prescribed substances. This drive-through event is held in the library's side parking lot (take Mercy Care lane and then an immediate right).

PLEASE FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES:
-Put your medications in a bag, if possible, and remove labels containing personal information.
-Put bagged medications in a place that you can easily access while remaining in your vehicle, or place the bag in your trunk so an officer may retrieve it.
-Drive through to the drop-off point and stay in your vehicle.
-Follow the officers' instructions.

What CAN be disposed:
-Controlled, non-controlled, and over-the-counter substances.
-Medication in its original container or removed from its container and disposed of directly into the disposal boxes.
-Pet Medication

What CANNOT be disposed:
-No sharps or syringes

No questions asked; no identification required.
