Making a Comic Cookbook Using Illustrated Recipes

Event Details

What better way is there to celebrate the holiday season than to talk about food? Participants will view several comic cookbooks as inspiration to make their own illustrated recipe using pen and water color paint.

Make sure to bring a recipe from home that you are willing to share. Final projects can be left in the library overnight to be included in a GPL Teen Comic Cookbook set to be available in the Foundry.  Participants who opt into including their work in the Foundry Cookbook will be given 1 hour of volunteer credit.

Participants will receive an emailed pdf of final recipe pages from the group to the email provided at registration and be able to pick up their personal original art at the youth services desk between December 3rd and 5th or by appointment. Projects will make a great gift in the winter months!
