Event Details

Youth in grades 4 to 8 will create a Mars space colony using discarded cardboard materials, like boxes and paper towel rolls, as well as other supplies like aluminum foil, popsicle sticks, & straws. Participants will try to address challenges to space living like solar radiation, poor soil, and cold temperatures. They may work together or build their own colony.

Participants can take a piece of the colony home or leave it in the library to be put on display.
