Celebrate women’s history month and discover the women who pioneered abstract art—Lee Krasner, Elaine DeKooning, and Helen Frankenthaler— among others. Learn about their lives as well as their groundbreaking creativity. Enjoy a bonus virtual tour of the home and studio shared by Lee Krasner and her husband, Jackson Pollock.

Joyce Raimondo is author of seven children's art books, including The Museum of Modern Art’s popular Art Safari series and the award winning Art Explorers books. A painter and sculptor, her illustrations have been published in the New York Times, Boston Globe, and numerous other publications. Former Family Programs Coordinator at The Museum of Modern Art in New York, she is a leading expert in museum education. She has made television appearances on Blues’ Clues’, NBC News, and CBS Sunday Morning News.
