Program Description
Event Details
Although open warfare began in New England on April 19, 1775, such warfare will not occur in the northern parts of the New York Colony for more than two years.
The Political War, however, began in the Fall of 1774. The politics of the Revolution would quickly divide families and friendships and eventually evolve into a bitter civil war that would be fought for more than five years between Loyalists, their Native American allies, and those supporting the Revolution.
This program will focus on the political activities in the Albany area that will lead to a shooting war in the Summer of 1777.
